An intimate evening with Ruby James
Sideshows happen in the side seating area to the left of the stage (capacity: 18 people). The setlist is randomized through a game of cards. All 18 participants draw 3 from a deck of 54. Of the song titles appearing on the back of each card, one can be chosen to request. There are 2 blanks in the deck that are "wild" - these can be used to request any pat mAcdonald song. A unique setlist is then created from the 18 titles chosen. Doors are at 6:30. Please arrive early. All proceeds go to Steel Bridge Creative Foundation!
Genevieve comes home from Nashville to play with her band!!! The Cancellations (featuring Ellie Maybe) will open. Ticket price includes a "free" gift from the band. <3
In the spirit of Steel Bridge Songfest, the songwriting community comes together to celebrate the bridge in song. Live streamed on Steel Bridge Radio from the Lounge and the Lab (downstairs). Seating is limited. All proceeds from ticket sales benefit Steel Bridge Creative Foundation. More details to come!
Since 2007, the Holiday Music Motel has hosted WRiTERS' NiGHT, our every-Thurday "originals only" open mic for songwriters, poets, and storytellers. From the motel lobby, the weekly showcase migrated to our makeshift studio/concert space upstairs. Then, in 2014, we acquired the big building next door (aka "The Tambourine") and WRiTERS' NiGHT found its permanent home in our lush-ish listening room, The Tambourine Lounge.
Hosted by pat mAcdonald, sets are 2-songs long (or equivalent for spoken word); beverages are "bring your own" (water, paper cups, and dark chocolate provided), and serious appreciaters are always appreciated. :)

As an experiment, I've added a couple of Wednesday "side shows" in the Tambourine Lounge. These will be in the small space to the left of the stage where i'll have my road rig set up for rehearsing. I'll try songs i don't normally play ("Oddities & Curiosities"). The space only seats around 12-18 people, so we'll stop selling tickets when we've reached capacity. All money from these shows will go the Steel Bridge Creative Foundation.
